There is no beating around the bush here. Soon, th world will be after our water and our resources in our waters. We are going to need to assert ourselves in these areas.

Needless to say, we are so boned.

As a response, some of my more military-oriented friends and I came up with a plan that could work fairly well and allow us to assert ourselves. Now, logistics:

Development of new airbase at Nanisivik.

Expansion of CFS Alert.

Deep-sea port at Iqaluit.

"Listening Post" in either Northern Newfoundland or Labrador.

Acquisitions:

20 UAV's completely dedicated to Arctic sovereignty.

Armed Ice-breakers.

6 Alenia C-27J Spartans.

Those sweet new German hydrogen powered subs(hey, we can dream, right?).

Developments:

10 CH-155 Kodiak Helicopters*

*What is a CH-155 Kodiak you ask? It is a helicopter designed by yours truly which was designed solely for the Arctic. Having a similar skeleton to that of our CH-149 Cormorants, the main difference is all-new internal components, slighty larger size, military transport purpose and Anti-Submarine Warfare.

I have a sketch somewhere, and I'm trying to dig it up as we speak.

If we implement the above, it would give us moderate ability to assert ourselves and defend our resources.

Edit: Here is the First ever draft sketch of the CH-155(then 152) Kodiak. I can't seem to find any more, which means my friends should have the others. So I present to you, the CH-155 Kodiak, albeit an earlier model. The new version isn't that different, but has some modifications.

Enjoy! :D

Okay, so I'm reading this article:

http://www.canada.com/ottawacitizen/new ... de&k=10692

And I couldn't help but burst out laughing at this fucktard's hypocricy.

He claims it's a slap in the face of Quebecers. It seems that this ignoramus is forgetting Quebecs Loi 101, which is a Nazi-esque language law. If you want to know what I mean, just google it or better yet, go to Montreal and look at the signs...

He also seems to be ignoring the fact that English schools in Quebec are like a modern day ghetto. They get leftover crap from other schools that are French and get pools, fencing courts, top-line computer and science labs, etc.

What do the english schools get? Mac OS. *shudder*

But the part of this I absolutely love, is this...

Quote:
Why didnt he take the chance to learn French whileworking in this so-called bilingual federal capital? It is shamefulthat the Conservative party and the Canadian state dont take thissituation seriously.

I love that, because if you're an Anglo in Quebec and outside of Gatineau and/or Montreal, good luck finding someone who can speak in English!

I see that the Quebecois are serious about elarning English.

Hypocrites...

Frankly, as a citizen living in Ottawa, I don't give a crap if the NCC chairman is Anglo, Franco, or speaks Chretienese, I just care about whether or not they can do their job and be more open. The NCC is known for its secrecy.

These Quebecois need to shut up and stop bitching and whining about every little thing. Focus on the capability of Mr. Mills to do his job, not...

Yea or Nay to the Barenaked Ladies? I think they're pretty good, and I'm sure a lot of Canadians agree. But what about abroad? DO you think that when people hear Barenaked Ladies, they think: "Oh, Canada! Rock on, dude!"

So I was wondering, what do people think of the Barenaked Ladies? And I'm not talking about the ones you look at through the hole in the wall to the girls change room at your high school...
