I ate an Oreo cookie today on which one of the chocolate wafers was attached upside-down, such that the 'OREO' logo was facing inward.
I'm pretty sure this is a rare occurence (a Wikipedia search revealed nothing on the matter), and felt is deserved some form of internet documentation.
I would have saved it or at least taken a picture, but in my haste I'd already taken a bite. After some sort of subconscious realization that something was out of place, an investigation revealed the inverted cookie.

That's never happened to me before... not with an Oreo... but I've seen a few Girl Guide cookies like that. The white ones.
Wonder what you could have got on ebay?

It happened to me yesterday, coincidentally. My little boy, who's four, has a rather Platonic ideal of food. In other words the food put in front of him must resemble exactly the ideal picture he's got in his head or he won't eat it. Ice cream must be perfectly scooped. Chips must have the correct "saddle" shape, soda crackers must be perfectly square and Oreo cookies must, of course, have the logo facing outside.
So yesterday he presented me with a defective Oreo. One side facing in, the other out. He wouldn't eat it. I also notice that it is no longer possible to "turn" the oreo so as to open up the middle. In all attempted cases, the cookie...well...crumbled. Oh well, I guess that's the way the cookie crumbles.
