Watching the 2007 Canada vs Russia Super Series was great,but it wasn&#039;t the NHL.
<br />I promised myself a new TV for the season and managed to pick up a Toshiba 32&quot; LCD TV for a GREAT price. So,needless to say where I will be for every Vancouver Canucks game this year.
<br />The team looks pretty good so far this year (ignoring the game against Philly),but still not getting enough shots on goal and giving up too many scoring opportunities. Hell, it&#039;s just the start of the season, there&#039;s still lots of time for the team to gel,and hopefully do just a bit better than they did last year.

<br />In December I applied for a Disability Pension,two week ago I got a phone call from Canada Pension and was told they could do nothing for me,but to offer me a 100 percent disability pension.I was also informed it would be retroactive to April&#039;06....BINGO...  <img src="../../forums/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif" alt="8O" title="Shocked" />  
<br />Just cashed the cheque yesterday.
<br />After all this time fighting with the pain my doctor decided to retire at the end of April....Now to find a new doctor....finally found one in Coquitlam,not to far from home.The first time I see him and tell him about all the leg pain he says he cannot prescribe any narcotics without my files from my old doctor.When I finally got them and tried to book a second appointment I was told he was sick but I could see the doctor covering for him.When I told him about the pain the fist thing he did was to offer medication I had used before with no results(anti inflamatories)He then told me to try Gabapentin which is used for seizures but also blocks nerve pain.Started taking them,and two days later the pain was 90 percent gone....BINGO.. <img src="../../forums/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif" alt="8O" title="Shocked" /> 
<br />He also gave me a prescription for Demerol,for the bad days. <img src="../../forums/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />

<br />Still stuck with a stinking bad back (foraminal stenosis) being the worst of it right now ...BURNING pain in both legs from the knee halfway up the thighs, from the time I wake until I get to sleep...If I get to sleep.Since it&#039;s a nerve problem pain killers don&#039;t do anything.
<br />I&#039;ve applied for a Disability Pension and am just waiting for an answer (saying my Hail Mary&#039;s and Our Father&#039;s).
