well i changed the colour scheme of my blog page just to play around with the blog control pageand to see what i could do.......i kinda like the new colour scheme but i was ok with the original CKA colour scheme too. i made sure that everything contrasts so that there isn't anything that is hard to read or whatever. i wonder what i can do if i want to change it bak to the original scheme?? it doesn't really matter too too much.
anyway, the renos on the basement are coming to a rapid conclusion. today we painted the basement, and i'm so glad that i don't have to live down there! the colour my roommate (who owns the house) wanted was like a beige colour but it turned out to be more pink than we exected! now it's almost like a salmon colour. so now basically all that needs to be done is 2 coats of paint in the new kitchen room, hooking up the stove and the fridge and putting in the flooring. oh and putting up one more cabinet in the kitchen. the lady who's going to be living in the basement suite has already moved a large portion of her stuff over alreadt, in the midst of all the reno work, she only lives something like 2 blocks away. the wierd thing is that she got my roommate's dad to help her move stuff in his truck. the bedroom she will have soon is already crammed with boxed upon boxes of her stuff and apparently there's still more that she needs to move! i have no idea what she's gonna do aoubt that because we simply don't have the storage room for that stuff if she doesn't unpack it or something. i mean it's incredible! the room is packed with boxes from foor to ceiling already with only a little path from the door to the closet left. i wish i had pictures i could post but i don't. anyway, it doesn't really matter to me, it's none of my business anyway. as long as she's not loud at night (which i doubt, she's like 40 or 50) or really cranky about us upstairs i'll be happy. there's been some problems still with the house that haven't been solved yet, and now there are some new ones emerging. one time i needed to use the vacuum cleaner in the kitchen with a wand for some reason (i can't remember) so i plugged it in to a nearby plug and switched the vacuum on. well, oddly enough, the vacuum didn't turn on but the light in the living room did! i thouht to myself "wierd! maybe i should try another plug" so i did. i plugged it into the plug in the bathroom and the same thing happened. there mst be something wrong with the wiring in our house, either that or it's possessed. also, the microwave trips the breaker almost every time i use it. the other problem that's emerging is a plumbing problem. we installed a sink into the kitchen in the bsement abd tied it into the drain from the sink in the kitchen upstairs. the problem is that every time we use the dishwasher the sink downstairs fills up with water and it overflowed today when my friend was cleaning out paint brushes. is it just that there is a plug somewhere in the line that has to be removed or is it that the drain is too small to acommodate the amount of water used? i don't really know but i guess i'll have to find out sooner or later.
well, my eyes are heavy and i'm falling asleep on my keyboard so i will call it a night.
