Gus here.

Seems Connie is seriously ill. Istanbul is beside herself. Carrier pigeoning does not lend itself to efficient correspondence as missives have to be brief.
Istanbul found Connie in a comatose state surrounded by 9 flower beds. Istanbul has identified the first 3 flowers by some means unknown.

1. The pale yellow ones are Petronia pallens, it poisons the liver.
2. The poison bush Acokanthera oblongifolia affects heart and nerves.
3. The red berry, Solanum kwebense causes epilepsy and attacks the central nervous system

When the rest are identified it may be possible to diagnose Connie's condition.

Istanbul has a message for Emmy Lou.

"If anyone sends you flowers do not eat them!"

Late pigeon!
Cotyledon orbiculata is aperennial succulent semi shrub which causes paralyses.

Homeria pallida, a yellow tulip causes dehydration and diarrhoea.

The poison onion Ornithoglossum viride causes the same disease symptoms as the yellow tulip.

.... more info after the birds have rested.

Gus S for Istanbul.

The one on the bottom right looks like a variety of eidelweiss.
Does it greet you every morning? If so, we'd know for sure.

I will have to ask Istanbul. I know the red American rose greets him most mornings.

The bottom right looks like an onion plant. An eidelweiss looks more like a tulip, middle right.

Did you send Constantinople the flowers?

Edelweiss look like they're made of felt. They'd look swell with your lederhosen. 8)
