Istanbul's blog

Welcome to my Blog

All my adult life I aspired to be a teacher so imagine my delight when I was invited to join a local Non Governmental Organization to teach overseas. How it came about was when my other friend Otis brought two turkeys home for Sunday's dinner. Otis's wife Elavayta, Ellie for short, rightfully figured I could help out with the bountiful feast. Ellie is the secretary to the Minister of Non Governmental Affairs.
Well the end result is I am off tomorrow on that great silver bird to parts East. The name is unpronounceable but in English would sound alot like "Boo Whoo Nookie Lookie Azoo Keystan" with a Jean Chretien's accent. I would have to look West to see Constantinople.

Emmy Lou has indicated that by reading my blog she can get an insight into my state of mind and well being. Some kind of mysterious characteristic female intuition quality. Most often found in women and Angels.
Soooo I convinced Gus to post my messages on my blog for Emmy Lou. It would be a great comfort to her. He has my laptop, my password, my blessings and my undying gratitude to keep the ball rolling in my absence. The airline has agreed the carrier pigeons can accompany me in the cabin.
I will miss the trappings of modern life, TV, cell phones, electricity, running water!
