EmmyLou returned from her trail blazing sojourns to various airports. You may recall she set out to determine which way the luggage carousels rotated and why? Well It is official. They all turn counterclockwise.
Nobody knew the real reason so Emmy decided to question the experts. People who in real life make clocks turn round and round. There was a small watch/clock repair store close to her favourite bistro, so she dropped in on her way for breakfast.

It was a 3 man operation, one of which was a girl. There was a counter clock girl and two clock guys in the back. They didn't appear to be working, just to be putting in time.
Emmy asked the counter clock girl if she knew why luggage carousels always turned counterclockwise? She replied that she only looks after the counter part of the store while the clocktologists in the rear would be happy to accommodate her. 8O
Sounded a bit ambidextrous to me. Or is it ambiguous? I often get confused over those two. Two other words that are among my favourites is Hippodrome and Cutlery!

On one hand I think ambiguous and on the other hand I write ambidextrous. I may of been handed a mental short at puberty?
Anyway the counter clock girl says most "normal people" are right handed so a counter clockwise approach to a approaching bag or suitcase is the most suitable.

Emmy says Gus's Aussie bird pictures are inappropriate for a family blog so has confiscated the complete collection. How she missed this one of a Cockatoo and a Lovebird I don't know.
