Well what a week had by all.
Sunday morning Gus dropped in early. This was odd as he is a nightie, a guy who stays up nights and sleeps days. I said he was a night owl but Emmy corrected me. Night owls do not wake up with nighties wrapped around their ankles she said.
Gus looked glum and depressed.

"Whats up Gus?" Emmy asked.
"Its me Mom" says Gus, opening a beer and flopping in a chair.
"You know she hurt her foot, went to a orthopedic and had a cast on for 5 weeks?
Well it got worse instead of better. A newby nurse gave her cortisone in her buttocks instead of her foot. This was discovered days later as she became acutely constipated. Her rear end was numb for days. Well Mom is in her eighties and is quite ornery at times.
When she is constipated for any length of time she really gets hyper.
They put her on Valium and antidepressants. The side effects affected her long dormant libido. She started making passes at her therapist!"

"Well she is bound to get over over it Gus, Just wait and see," Emmy said while consoling him with another beer.

"Well that's not all, Istanie died last night"

Aw c'mon Gus you will get another Istanbul. There are many fish in the sea," quipped Emmy.

"Anyway just why did you name that damn old goldfish Istanbul anyway?" asked Emmy.

Gus fished a picture out of the inner lining of his fisherman's hat. "Just look at those eyes" he said.
"Reminds me of Istanbul's when he first got hooked on you."

"The neighbour's cat ate him but I'm sure he died in his sleep. He had to be asleep for that fat tabby to catch him."
Gus wanted to bury Istanbul in the rose garden so finished his beer then went off to dig the grave.
After a while Emmy went out with a fresh beer and to check on any progress.
"What a large hole for a tiny goldfish" said a surprised Emmy."

"Yeaaaaaaah well that's because Istanbul is still in the kitty cat!" replied Gus.

That was my week what about yours?"

So EmmyLou told him all about her week, her quickie.
There is something about going fishing on the spur of the moment. A quick decision. She chose Alaska as her destination as she heard the salmon were running. They even named a place there 'Salmon Pittsburghers by the sea'. On her very first day she caught two huge sockeyes.
Emmy asked which was the bigger one? Tough choice but the left one loomed large but then so did the sucker on the right.

10 days ago Istanbul had read a report about Mozart. It appeared they both had the same problem. E D.
A stubborn woody.
Mozart had no soul or conscience but he did have luck. He had a spare penis. Yep he had been born with two of them.
The scary part was Mozart may have to undergo amputation to correct his permanent erection.
This kind of intrigued Istanbul. It must have as he hummed, 'Two coins in the fountain', 'Tea for two' and 'Takes two to Tango' from morning to night.
The news Item gave few details but did get Emmy to scratch her head:

Mozart, an iguana stuck with a permanent erection six days after a mating session at a Belgian zoo, may have to have his penis amputated if the condition does not improve."He will see the Vet on Thursday," said Enid Balemans, spokeswoman for the Aquatopia Zoo in Antwerp, stressing that veterinarians were still considering alternative treatments.
If amputation is necessary Mozart will still be able to reproduce because he has 2 peni. (multi Pricks).
Ms Balemans said Mozart was not showing any obvious signs of distress.

No further word of what the outcome was. If amputated Instanbul hopes it was saved in a bank for Bobbitted lizards!
