Some random thoughts while waiting for Gus to email some bird pictures from Oz.

Oprah's TV show was not due for two days so I decided to finish knitting a washcloth for EmmyLou. I can explain the time difference.
A surprise birthday gift. I think EmmyLou will love it.
Last week I casted on 60 stitches. I hope to make a square before I bind off.
My flying fingers seem to work independently of my mind so it frequently wanders.

Today I wondered what was the connection between Chesapeake Bay and Pittsburgh? No not Route 66. Something more philosophical.

ImageCheasapeake Bay

ImagePittsburg.

The name suggested a mountain peak poking out of the chest or bay. Maybe two peaks? I remember when the late Anwar Sadat of Egypt and his buxom wife visited the USA. One State Official complimented him on his wife's pyramids! Anwar was not amused.

Years later EmmyLou and I were returning home from Florida. Naturally her luggage went astray, never to be seen again. I had a spare new cotton shirt by stylist 'Bangladesh' in my backpack so was able to help her out. I have given up on the 'Dior and Giuseppe Zanatti' silks after some kids called me a Poofter.

Emmy had gained some weight in Florida. Picking and eating avocados for a month had filled her out. She said avocados are monounsaturated type fat and can help help lower cholesterol.
Anyhow we decided to visit my widowed Aunt in Pittsburgh. She has intermediate Alzheimer's and would probably forget about our visit. The 2 weeks free rent would be just a lucky perk for us.

It was a rush to make the train on time. I was bushed running up the stairs. EmmyLou was breathless and panting. The buttons popped off due to the pressure of her heaving bosom. All the men's eyes popped out too except for the Ticket Agent. I guessed he was a Poofter as Emmy was stacked. A brick toilet house.

As calmly as I could I reached for my wallet and nonchalantly inquired how much two Pickets to Tittsburg would cost? I will never forget that Poofters sly knowing grin.
I see it every time I gaze into my teacup or the waters of Chesapeake Bay.

Well nothing yet from Gus. I guess he is not yet ready to send any pictures using
regular email. Sometimes Gus resorts to using Morse Coded email. It is much slower but he says it slips under the radar at Microsoft. Apparently Microsoft emails can be broken down to Ones or Zeroes. True or False or High and Lows. Switch on switch off in Microsoft speak. Techies know all about these bits and bytes. Who would have thought 1111 = 585? Or DEAD = 57005 or 1101111010101101 depending on the base?
Gus says Dots and Dashes is more secure. He says if the CIA could have connected the Dots 9/11 could have been prevented. I believe it but then Connie does not.

Now I am wondering if Gus is just "testing the waters" down under? He may have got the initial idea from me. That's what I was planning to do. It was just a idle thought in a idle moment to test the waters. I had been toying with the idea and knew the importance of being coy about it. When the coyness had begun to cloy I decided to act.

First I had to form an exploratory committee to consider my formal candidacy.
EmmyLou agreed to head the committee. She said the word "Candidate" was derived from the old Italian Casanova custom of being upfront or candid with your dates.
He frequently got his face slapped but he scored more often than not. As I have to keep at least an arms length away from the committee I cannot join. Gus is away so that leaves just one Chief and no Indians.

If anyone wants to join this worthy cause just email the particulars to EmmyLou.
The sooner we can muster a forum the sooner we can decide what I am a candidate for.

Wait something is coming in from Oz ...........
dit dah dit dit dit ........................... That's Gus. The pictures will be here by tomorrow for sure! :D
Stay tuned.
