Wullu my friend, not good!
Be SURE to get lotsa Polysporin on that gauze buddy, dog bites can turn out nastier than the bite itself - I know, I know - more contorting and twisting - (alas a topic i know what i'm talkin' about) Bacteria from dog's saliva literally rots a cats skin till it drops off!!! and with people it's not "as" harmful per say, yet still, even the cleanest of dogs, have saliva that "rots" - has something to do with them being "beasts" and being able to break down meat they eat, to make it digestible!! This is true for even the smallest of bites!
Please please please, peroxide and poly! Did the hospital/clinic give you an injection? Silly question, of course they did (right?)
Amoxicillan or Penicillan is also
needed internally.
From the sounds of things, you're bit in a couple of places - pretty good, so take precautions! -k!!!
('nd thank you for your post!!, am tired & cranky - alotta crap has gone on and has subsided a tad - i can't figure out how folks can "waste" so much time in aggression when if they'd lend a bit of a helpin' hand, so many good things would have happened by now - i do them a favor by keeping animals off their beautiful lawns and by keeping strays healthier, their own pets - stay healthy when interacting. It's a farming community that believes in "cats are a dime a dozen" (thanks to them!!) & lack of spaying and neutering - jus' go out 'nd shoot em when there's too many or - hate, trap & Kill - is the other option. When I get in dogs, they are usually home within 48-72 hrs - why? cuz they are workin' dogs that have had a lot of time spent with them in training AND they are a tax write off - the farm needs their dogs and cats, well, they'll make more on their own and deal with it later.
All I know is that kids love them, folks who are sad - bond with them and feel better and so on.... I have a clear set path and goals and i can't believe how much grief and loss I've suffered - to do something "good"...
thank you!)
