Well I had my lawn rebuilt last week. Why? Why? Why? Why did I forget how much damned work is involved in a good lawn :lol:

The sods have taken root for the most part, so now I am at the save all that money I spent phase. Lime, fertilizer, edging, cedar chip beds and let us not forget the water...... The month before the lawn went in it rained steady. Since it went down 11 days ago, 2 days of rain. Out with the sprinkler!!!

Why did I do this? Oh yeah, the way it looked before was embrassing, that is it!!

Well the lime is not going to lay itself for me,

Cheers until I feel the need to procrastinate again!!

LOL its all in the timing isnt it? Resodded last year (corner lot w/two boulevards) then came the great Cowtown flood of '05. I sear I had to go out into the street to mow my front lawn after that.

I like cement - GREEN cement. :wink:

hmm, i'd have to agree with wdhiii - green cement is good and on the other hand, alas, the many pleasure of walkin' barefoot across a thick "carpet" of well attended green grass (as long as someone else is tendin' it) 'nd I dare say that walkin' barefoot on green cement, well, is a tad hard on the tender tootsies!
'Nd ya know, writing here, is makin' me homesick - was born in Dartmouth - my dad was in the Navy 'nd i haven't been home in 20 yrs!!! With a name like "heather" u can guess the heritage.

u'll have to tell me more 'bout the menangerie, 'nd if you have a minute, check out how i've been mixing the animals with kids and now am looking to do work with trauma victims, kids from abusive backgrounds and others - the actual term is called Animal Assisted Therapy - some folks think i'm off the deep end - and they tried to shut me down in more ways than one - but i love what i do and this lil ol' bluenoser ain't stoppin' now!
The house is a "victory" and a whole new start.
