Trailer Park Boys: The Movie opened big this weekend

Well, the movie most of us were waiting for opened to the biggest opening weekend EVER for a English Canadian film. Despite only opening in Canada, it pulled in $1.3 million and was 11th in all of North America. Very few English Canadian films rarely exceed $1 million gross for their entire run, nevermind its first weekend.
Good news for US/UK fans of TPB, Dreamworks has picked up the rights to the film and plans on opening it, although a release date is still up in the air. Fear not TPB fans, it is coming to a theatre near you!
Also in Canadian film news, the Quebec buddy comedy, "Bon Cop, Bad Cop" has surpassed Porky's to become the highest grossing Canadian movie of all time, beating out everyone's favourite raunchy movie from the 1980s, "Porky's".
