Weekend Box Office

The adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock's classic Rear Window, Disturbia, took first place this weekend (earning $22.3 million), knocking Wil Ferrell's Blades of Glory into 2nd, which made $13.9 million (and $90 million over 3 weeks). Disney's Meet the Robinsons slipped to third place with $12.5 million, while Halle Berry's thriller, Perfect Stranger, opened in 4th place with $11.2 million. Are We Done Yet slipped into fifth place with $8.9 million.

Other new films didn't do as well this week. Fox's Pathfinder opened in 6th place with $5.1 million and the thriller Redline opened in 11th with $3.8 million.

I can vouch for Disturbia being busy as fuck. I was told to actually stand in the theater to make sure no one was being an ass. So I got paid to see it. Woot!
