What a scorcher!

Man, it was hot today. The heat just saps the energy right out of me and makes me feel exhausted, but it's way too damn hot to sleep. I saw on the news that Edmonton had only 1 day of weather with a temp over 30 last year, this year we've had 8 already and Wednesday looks to be another! Yikes!
I had a ball hockey game scheduled and wasn't looking forward to playing it, as the arenas are saunas on these hot days. Fortunately, when we got there, the league told us due to a scheduling error, the other team was double booked and our game cancelled, so we just took shots and practiced. Even that was awful...still, it felt good to get out and run after a ten day layoff. The shower afterwards felt even better!
