WOW!

Well, as some of you know, I've been working out with my brother for the past two and a half months or so. In early May, he took my measurements (waist, chest, arms, thighs, and calves). Well, out of curiousity, I got them redone this evening, and my arms are bigger, my legs are leaner and my waist is THREE inches smaller! WooHoo! Vindication at last!
This is great news, because my weight loss has levelled off and it hasn't seemed like I was losing weight any longer, just hovering at the same weight, no matter how much cardio and/or weightlifting i did.
Otherwise, life is pretty much same old, same old, with the exception that the weather here in Edmonton is very hot. It got to +32 today, with a humidex of 34, so it was sweltering. The gym felt like a sauna, even with the A/C going full blast. Still, we went in and got our workout done, no matter how hot it was. The weather is supposed to be great for the rest of the week and the long weekend, so I think I'm going to have to go for my bike rides in the morning before work instead of in the evening.

Have you just been weighing yourself? When you say you stopped losing weight, I'm guessing your weight lifting caught up with you... gaining all that muscle is obviously going to add weight.
That's the tricky thing about weightlifting... gaining muscle and losing weight are two different efforts, but it sounds like you're doing great!

Yeah, I was pretty much only weighing myself every other day or so, so when the weight slowed to a crawl, I figured it was the added muscle tone I was getting from working out, but it still felt like I wasn't getting anywhere...
