Sunshine over Ottawa

Midnight was not far away
when in Ottawa - was
the beginning of a new day

A Canadian Sky
an ecstasy to bear
With a whisper of amour
so close in Quebec near

The Queensway a highway
toward the four - seventeen
and onward to a place in the U-S
As if Lake Ontario and the
Saint Lawrence were all
of being a nearby address

Sunrise glimmering in hope
sunshine over Rockcliffe Park
Meanwhile a world away time was
challenging where there would
be light in relation to what was dark
