I'd love it if you listed your own pet peeve about intrusive marketing...

Don't do business with these guys!

It is 8:52 on Tuesday night...and I just got an automated call saying it was about my bank account...

that there was nothing wrong with my account but...

if I wanted a chance to lower my interest rate, I should punch 1 now.

I pushed it and got a lady with a heavy accent. She asked me if I pushed 1 to get a lower interest rate. I said I wanted to know what company she was first.

She said MCS and started her speil. I interrupted to ask what did MCS stand for and she answered Mutual Consolidated Savings.

I started to talk to her and she hung up on me.

I have asked these people to quit phoning me in the past.

I don't jus twant to get them to quit calling me anyomore, I want to punish them,

and the list grows...

Bank of Montreal

Decline to use these busnisses if you hate telemarketers.

Must be the same MCS of the other day - a very loud and imposing voice interrupting my business.

I've had it with these guys too.

I'm starting a list of companies I will never do business with and will encourage others to ostracize them too.

I used to wander through Canadian Tire for hours trying to find something.

Then 4 clerks did me a great favour - when I stood by the as they chatted about their "life", and ignored me, I made the decision never to shop Canadian Tire again.

I dropped the stuff I had on the counter in front of them and walked out. I've been dragged by others into the store once or twice but I've never gone in for myself again. That's just about 15 years now.

I encourage you to use the comments to tell of your experiences and maybe we can support each other by a clean up your act boycott!
