i awoke this morning to a terrible sound, not really a squaking, more like an animal scream....scared the crap out of me.

So, I get up thinking that the cat must have a majorly huge mouse or something, but no, it's a full grown black crow......how the f*** did that get through the doggie door!!!

Feathers are all around and the cat looks up at me as I switch on the light startled, like "what are you doing crazy women, can't you see i'm hunting!" I say something to the effect of "holy sh**. how did that get in here?" and the cat proceeds to let it go so it can fly around the house. Ha, ha she thinks.

So now I'm running around the house shutting doors and being chased by a pissed bird.....what a way to wake up. I finally managed to get it out the door after cornering it off from the cat w/ a folded up card table in front of the open door.....ugh, I feel sick. So much excitement is not good so early in the morning!

yeah, can't you just see the evil look Arwen would be giving me? She is such a turkey. At any rate, I got it out and swept up the bird feathers all over the kitchen & living room....my little ninja has been moping around the house all morning & pepper stayed hidden in the bedroom during the whole thing....she's such a warrior.

Good story, usababe. Trust me though - there are worse ways to wake up. :D

My cat once brought in a live bat. Dad wasn't too happy but I was sure impressed.

My neighbours used to have raccoons coming through their cat door. It was bad enough when they just ate the cat food and made themselves at home in the play room, but 2 of them settled in on the older boy's bed. They took a few pictures before trying to figure out how best to get them out without waking their son... or worse.

holy cow lily, yeah that would be worse...

so far I've only had mice, lizards, frogs and now a bird...my fear is for something like a racoon or snake to come in.... i would totally flip out.

I don't even like when the big wolf spiders get in, never mind snakes. 8O
