In spite of what some may think, I can tell you that what I do, is not about money!! Anyone who has visited the society's website can clearly see, that we don't have huge graphics of wording that says "DONATE NOW!" on every page (even though i've been told to do so!)
I'd like to think that the way I built our website, that it's becoming a resource for Pet "Parents" or those who are thinking about becoming a Pet Parent.
Granted, it needs updating, I've been kinda busy in the past 4 months seeking out a place to relocate to, on top of the regular needed day to day chores and making an income.
Between Cat food and Dog Food, the expenses are certainly there.
Cat food, without a much needed sponsor, costs $56.00 plus gas every Day and a Half per say, on top of wood pellets we use for litter. (pellets average $100 - $125 a month, without a much needed sponsor)
Dog Food, costs an average of $50 a month, with only our sweet My Girl as our mascot.
Otherwords, approx. $900 a month - sometimes less, sometimes more.
Medical Care, cost approx $200 a month - plus house expenses (rent and bills) and cleaning supplies....
Anyone who has visited the site or visited our donors/sponsor and acts of kindness page can clearly see that we are not into what we do for "money" and oddly enough, most who do donate, are those on tight budgets themselves, which makes us even more grateful for their generosity!

On our website, however, there are some great links for Pet Parents to seek out information or links to resourceful and reputable information.
Pet Health being the main one is where you find health tip resources that offer precise information concerning pet health. One of which is the Vet Manual used in actual courses for Vet Techs and Vet Schools. It takes research to hunt out the information you need, however it is all there!
Lost a Pet offers helpful tips and a Word Perfect Doc for instant posters that Pet Parents can easily print up. Since it is in Word Perfect, all anyone has to do is alter the info, add their own information, a picture and they are ready to print up asap - to get the word out! POSTERS WORK!
Finding a New Home for my Pet: offers tips in finding a new home for a pet that folks can no longer keep(for whatever reason) - however competition is tough! Go to Kijjiji for example and look in every city, there are mega pleas of pet parents, seeking a new home for their pets! It's actually depressing! Facebook is the same in the Give Away section of their MarketPlace.
Before Getting a Pet is an article I wrote some time ago and is now linked off the website, to a site where I write articles for royalties (pennies that add up - no big $ there!) under the name CreativeMindPublications - I originally signed up under that name to write articles with step by step decorating concepts and just happened to begin writing about the critters, let's just say it was stronger than me!
Building Outdoor Shelters is for those who care to assist outdoor strays and keep their own mice population down! We offer 2 pages of step by step examples on how to build sufficient shelters that assist strays in times of need, especially during the cold winter months.
Health Care Plan is to assist Pet Parents with Health Care Costs. This particular plan is sponsored in part by the Humane Society, who's main concern is to assist pet owners keep down costs and assist with sterilizations that help hinder populations of unwanted pets or animals.
Spay-Neuter Canada Petition: is a means of showing officials that clinics are neededto assist in sterilization costs. I firmly believe that if pet parents received assistance with the costs of sterilization, that there would be less strays and less critters that end up in Kill Shelters - afterall, shelters cannot be the size of Foot Ball Fields, equipped with staff and medical facilities to accommodate the many unwanted pets!
Lost and Found Listings: is new, however it is free to list pets that have gone missing or pets that are found ALSO on our page of tips for those who have lost pets, is a listing on the left side margin sites to seek out or post a lost pet (once updated, there will be more links!).
Our Articles for Royalties: add up in pennies - literally and are a means of suttly educating folks on pet issues and pet related topics. These articles express our concerns, some of the shelter's stories and tips on pet behaviours - all meant to assist pet parents or those considering attaining a pet!
The Programs I put on: were voluntary, at my cost and by the pictures, I think they tell a story all their own! No one assisted with the costs, or the labor entailed.

Now, taking all into consideration, I will not deny that if someone had of come forward during our time of need with a loan or better yet, sponsorship, I would have gladly and gratefully accepted! WHO WOULDN'T?
But, all I got was my hopes up high, by someone who said that they knew of properties that were going on auction, so I contacted the county in question.
This person apparently went in to the county and told them "about me" and they never did contact me back - even though I did email them wih the information I'd been given and requested further info - odd don't you think?
This person told me of a 5 acre property that didn't come through.
This person has bought property on auction, so I asked for assistance with this, as I wouldn't know what to bid, nor do I have a clue where these properties are, or what price to bid.
I have a lot of RESPONSIBILITIES - with day to day chores! I work to make ends meet and have spent an aweful lot of time, looking into properties that end up in dead ends.
To take time to chat for 5 hours, well frankly, I can't!!! My time is very limited and I am on edge with nothing coming through - I have just gotten my hopes up high, to be let down.
Then I was told of homes in hamlets and got excited.... after viewing the websites that pertained to these hamlets, I read the bylaws that state, no more than 3 kitties - when I made comment to this fact, I was told to "get rid of the critters" - that there's more who need help - well, mine need help right now and if I'm not permitted more than 3, well how can I help more in the future? Makes no sense.
It's been a roller coaster ride and instead of finding "backing" I've found only a roller coaster ride and worse yet to be accused of only trying to take people's money - well, that's the worst yet!
Some people really don't like cats and that is their right and my family and I haven't been through the mill to throw in the towel.
I have 2 places to look into tomorrow. I can't help feeling that since nothing has panned out, as close as I've come to getting out of here, that I'm not meant to look anywhere else, outside of this county. And the last thing I'd do is "get rid of the critters" - not after all this time and personal and financial investments.
My family agrees.
I had to take another one in yesterday and put her down.
We picked her up after the incident of my last entry.
She could barely walk and I had her in my room where she near fell off the bed but her claws were still firm in the mattress. I picked her up under her arms and her body extended, so she let out a scream! She could not walk at all after that, so something happened when her body extended that did her great harm!!! - but she was pulling herself to get to the food (great appetite) and drinking and unfortuneately, was doing her business where she lay and would pull herself out of the area and groom and clean herself.
I noticed her eyes were cloudy and decided to take her in to see if her life could be saved.
The Vet where I took her insisted that she was sooooo sick and that her cripleness, was in fact because of her sickness. He did not want to hear about how her nails got stuck and when I picked her up, she screamed and could no longer walk - no, becus of what he's heard and prefers to believe, he insisted I had very sick cats in my care~!!!!!
I'm getting really sick of the assumptions, the ignorance and am on the verge or writing letters to the Vet Assoc. - thank god for witnesses and pictures!
While there, one of our helpers was at this Vet's other office, giving money I asked to be put down on the bill. This person has been very helpful and used some of the money for gas and I know it will be replaced. When the Vet got off the phone, he said that the person only put $50 on the bill and I had said that $100 was going on it. The person had told his secretary that they'd be back early in the week to put more down, so I said that I was confident that he would - the remark the vet made was "maybe he has has barley breathe" and it didn't dawn on me at first - but my daughter, who was with me said to me "maw, he meant - drinking booze" and I near cried~!~~
I was raised by alcoholic parents, so NO booze is allowed near my home, the shelter or my surroundings and it is a rareity that I take a drink. My daughter still has my bottle of champagne sitting in her fridge from my 50th birthday almost 2 years ago (after i lost my both homes) so I made comment that the day I am resettled somewhere - where my worries are subsided, then I'll crack it open and have a drink in honor and celebration - so to "insinuate" that I sent someone who spent $50 on booze, well is insulting and distasteful.
But this person did need it for gas and will replace it this week.
How assuming. And there's a lot of that around me these days, just as the person who I thought was willing to assist in gaining info for us, who wrote me and said that if he has no money to offer, then I won't be his friend!!!
I don't know what kind of people these people are, but I certainly can't relate that's for sure!
WHY it is sooo easy to kick someone when they are down and out, is beyond my comprehension because I am not that kind of person.
Everything I have ever done, has always had an angle that helps people - it makes my world a better place and makes people around my life -happier. When people are happier, it makes life easier to deal with.

SO - ANY RICHIE RICHES OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A TAX WRITE OFF AND I'M SERIOUS!!!!!???

If I'm going to be accused of being a gold digger, at 51 yrs old, maybe I'm going about things all wrong!
Why bother offering products and my artwork for sale thinking that folks get something for the money they spend?
Why give free classes with all the materials supplied when I should be getting someone who can use me as a tax write off and pay for these things?
Why bother asking for assistance in understanding land auctions when I should be seeking out someone to pay for these things when it's a tax write off for them?
Why seek out the services of Vets that I pay for, to be insulted and have things continuously insinuated because they chose to listen to people who are boozers?
Why am I being played like a yo-yo on the end of a string, where the roof over my head is held against me and I live in a condemend home?

well,I have been doing something about all this and I've been busy writing letters - including documents and dates - two can play the same "game" only mine is based on facts, not lies, gossip or assumptions!
I wish I din't have to be like this, I wish I had good people around my life. I wish that those who have had so much time on their hands to waste, had of helped rather than assume they knew me better than I know myself and take it upon themselves to waste their time and energy in such a negative pursuit.

I have been preparing a file for the Humane Society, to contradict what they've been told in assumptions - taking things personal as opposed to objectively - that has hindered them taking us under their wing!
I am in the process of preparing a "book" for the media should the local government not see fit to desist the negativity and be of assistance.
The rental board has already communicated to me that the pictures and documentation I've sent is ILLEGAL and they are awaiting my decision on what to do with this information.
I'm preparing a file for the RCMP internet division, I was in at the bank this week and got information that I was unsure of - I was having problems with my debit card and went into the bank to find out why my card wasn't working and it kept saying that I had no funds when I had put deposits - that dated back to March 2005 - so now I will reverify all my statements going back to the beginning of May (June 5th is when I received my eviction notices on both homes but they'd been dated back to May 05)
I've made inquiries as to when the Bylaws concerning private home purchases was changed in early 2005 as I know what we suspect really happened afer our meeting in Village Office in April 2005 -
AND I still have to find a place to move to!! I can't believe what I have missed out on - on account of a lousey $2,000 but have been able to get a lender who was willing to lend me $225,000 - should I have come up with the $2,000 - I ask myself, what kind of people have I let into my life?

I had someone who was apparently interested in the Dodge Engine, offering to pay with a certified check, then it changed to internet banking. When I said I no longer do internet banking and would prefer the first offer of a certified check, I got no more responses from that individual, this was on facebook and I do have my facebook badge here in my blog. when I checked out their facebook, they had NO friends attached to their profile, so it was someone who hooked up to pursue the engine - no friends on their profile, isn't that a tad strange and going from a certified check to internet banking that I won't do anymore (in lieu of the Identity Theft) - well that's a tad out of line as well.

Time for a clean up!
As soon as I relocate, shit is going to hit the fan - I'm a little tired of being the door mat for everyone to wipe their feet on.
A Gold digger, a drunk and a liar is not what I am.
for those who care about us, please pray that we get one of these two places, I have a lot of shit to take care of and get the white trash out of our lives, to make room for kind and caring people! Time to take care of business and get some funds happening.
