HAVE YOU SEEN OR HEARD OF THIS DOG?? SHE'S TATTOOED AND MISSING in S. Alberta!
Image "Bobbi" MISSING from High River Area!! Do you live nearby or know someone there? The Search is On! (more about this sweetie, below)

But first:
I have to start with the Kind gestures that speak a thousand words and are worth a million bucks!!

I've been falling behind between the two houses with the move. There's been a ton of stuff to do at the new place just with cleaning, scrubbing, disinfecting, repainting and building, in prep for the new arrivals.
I conversed with a gent the past few weeks, over misfortune with his pets and in kindness, he wanted to do something for me.
My daughter is my main helper, she is afterall the most convenient but has been working out on the farm still. Normally she gets laid off late November, but this year, they've found more for her to do than usual. This is great for her, helps with the paycheck right - but not so great for me.
I needed a door between the living room and kitchen and one for the top of the stairs that leads into the living room. I've almost got one room downstairs completed (occupants are already testing it out) and I've got the start of the framework to build up on, in the second room - already begun. I'm building everything to be removable so that when the time comes, everything comes with me and can be rebuilt elsewhere. (helps the critters settle in faster too when everything "appears" the same)
I'm setting up the upstairs, so I can leave the kitchen, bathroom and mini hallway, basically animal free with exception to the dog. The living room, has cages of the ones who do not socialize very well with other critters, so these guys can get a turn out of the cages for up to 24 hours and when potentials come to see critters, I can leave others roam freely, to be viewed.
I spent a good part of the week watching over and looking for the dog, who wandered around town since the back gate, just kinda fell over!! I had it rigged in the meantime, but she was finding her way to go for a jaunt and that was taking me away from the much needed chores. Now, fortunately for me, the gate was fixed over the weekend.
Thanks to this gent's kind gestures and time, there's a beautiful hand made screen like door between the kitchen and living room, that is just the greatest! Galvanized 1" wire was added in replacement of screening so this way, it helps with air circulation and keeps everything more open and in clear view. AWESOME!
The crew doesn't much appreciate the new restriction, but I'm just lovin it and ever so grateful that it's there! It's amazing what 3 pairs of hands can do as opposed to one pair of hands! *a lot of non profits reaaaaaly appreciate the time and efforts of helpers - sometimes the accomplishements of a day can literally last a lifetime, food for thought for those who have considered donating some time or even supplies to a local non profit -
Anyhooo, the back gate was fixed and put back up, standing so tall and proud!
Problem is, that it's the only thing left standing at this moment since the wind knocked over the rest of the bloody fence. My first reaction this morning was "what the...." as irony seems to be playin havic with me at this moment in time - but I had to laugh because the gate is standing right up there ever so proud, strong as can be since repairs and now the rest of the fence decided to fall!!!! What were the odds of that eh?!
We also received 3 large bags of litter, 10 - 4x8 sheets of particle board, a financial donation and the loan of a saw to cut the wood needed to complete the basement.... I'm feelin a tad blessed with the kindness and consideration - every single thing helps and although everything comes with a price tag, sometimes it's the simplest of gestures and or supplies that make everything feel like it's worth a million bucks! *cuz to folks like us, it is!
The gent who had all the Bichon pups, was by earlier this week - bringing with him 8 long shelves I can bolt to the wall. He had noticed that I use older real wood dresser drawers, as wall beds for the crew.(these help with excercise and the drawers add more "area space" to confined areas) So he happened across these units and decided to bring them to me to alter a bit and use for more of my wall bed system in the second room I'm workin on. It's great! When he stopped in on the weekend, he brought me a bag of sugar for coffees or teas as I had none when he came by this week. (i don't keep people food or other here at this time until things get set up and will only serve beverages when potential new pet parents come to view)
So now I have a fixed gate (but no fence hahahaha) 10 sheets of 4x8s, litter supplies for a week, finances for more medication the critters need due to stress with moving, a hand made specialty screen styled door to block off the kitchen area that's up and serving it's purpose, 8 new shelf units for their bedding and wall space areas, sugar and a saw to cut my wood straight (jigsaws can be testy) AND made a new friend!
WOW, wow, I feel really blessed and inspired. It's amazing what got done in one day! Alone, that would have taken me a good 2-3 weeks to build and accomplish amidst everything else that occurs in a day....
YES, the kindness and generousity has made me feel blessed. What we need is to find more people of like mind for all this to work - and I'm hoping the roll doesn't end here type thing. The Rescue needs for some good things to happen and to move forward so we can make good things happen for others and for the critters... (guess I should get back into baking and my crock pot specials - maybe more will stick around :>)

Updates on Missing Dog and Two Bichon Pups still waiting for a Forever Home
Our Bichon gent still has 2 pups that need a forever home people and yes he will send them out as far as Ontario! These pups are just absolute sweet hearts - so gentle and child like! They are a bit stressed and need only to be loved and cared for! They are 5 months old and growing out of their "cute stage" so they need homes as soon as possible. These babes are just the sweetest! They stand up on their hind legs with thier front paws just going when they see people - they just want lovins and are now house trained! and ready to go!
Bobbi, the little Bensanji Gal is still Missing in or around the High River Alberta Area!!! It's been 9 days now that this little auburn red and white, has disappeared! She's Tattooed with a tattoo on her belly - YHT-3T and turned ONE year old on the 10th - missing her first birthday at home.
This little gal bolted while out for a nature walk with "Dad" along the outskirted walkways of High River Ab. and hasn't been seen since!! We ask that if you know anyone living in or around the area, to keep their eyes open for this gal, she is truly one of a kind in breed and there aren't any others inHigh River! So if you see one in a yard or being walked, please contact me so that we can have the real owner go take a look, she is identifiable by her belly tatttoo!

Next, I started up a new site, all the pages are up and I've been adding content from my old site - news4creativeminds.com - (trust me, if i could afford the extra in our budget, it would still be up - we hit 135,000 hits in the first year and beat Deb Travis in the searches!!) With painting lately and doing the kitchen cupboads in a "fool the eye" stained glass window design, I got the urge to put up a new Newsletter. It'll only be once a month for now till I get things done here and then I'll start it back up every two weeks.
Image
So far Creative-Ideas.4T.Com has it's first newsletter up! I started with "Faux Finishing Fun" because there are just so many things you can do with a rag, a piece of plastic and paint!!!! ALL kinds of Furniture and Household items, walls, frames, doorways, even exteriors - it's just to learn the know how or to get those creative inspirations going!!! I added 8-9 pics of "tools" you can use from around the house and the textures those tools give when used with paint! I added other pictures of examples of faux finishing steps and the results when done on kitchen cupboards or even in the use of wall art/murals - at least 30 pics in total to get those creative ideas goin and interaction happening!
Chores are calling.......
