Wolf Within

A sweet kitty cat on the outside, but ... Beware of that Wolf Within

Time for bed as soon as I unwind. Luckily for me my daughter had a couple of days off with the weather and lent me a hand.
We removed the old screening off the door we were given, all staples, nails and borders - the door was a little warped and it actually helped with keeping it closed tightly to the wall. We cut the galvanized wire then screwed that in place with clamps - to replace the screened area. Now, with that door up, it allots for better ventalation, increased lighting and visibility into the room where the older boys will be kept.

There was an old 3 tiered shelf that was up on the wall in the hallway between the two rooms. It was braced to a bracket like shelf beneath it for additional stablity i guess - otherwords, rig a ma rolled onto the wall. We got all that unscrewed and down so that we can tier the singular longated shelves I have. The individual shelves will give the crew more beds and actually, additional space for excercise. The shelves are about 4 ft long and 10" wide, they have a small backing on them too which makes them easier to screw into the wall. The length of them helps with the wall beams so that they can be screwed in securely and I'm anxious to get those lined up and in place.

I blocked off the "closet" areas in both rooms. I put up 2x4's along the inside trim, to brace the panel I used - nothing will be screwed into those, so fewer screws were needed and less damage to the walls later on too.

Since the floor is squared off cement with deep 2" wide crevices, I built counter areas along 3 sides of the rooms, This narrows down the floor space needed and brings the critters up to a level that is easier to clean and less bending too. The second room, is getting an upper level, or second level above the counter top, for additional excercise space and sectioned off caging. Tomorrow and the next, we will cut the particle board, to lay over the remaining uncovered areas and then I have white speckled, 12"x12" thick tiles, that will need to be cut and glued to the particle board for new flooring.

I've gotten 8 more in this week and there's a remaining 20 to come. It's work till ya drop type thing and in and amongst all this additional work, I've been building new stores with all the designs I've been making up in the evenings when I can't bang or cut wood.
Like when am I suppose to find time to make an income??? to keep up with all the expenses??!!! ya, exactly - so I've been drawing up all kinds of stuff - anything that comes to mind between chores and evenings... hopefully, I can market them and promote them enough to make things fall into place....

Lord knows I've added enough pics in here and I've worked on the shopping section of the website ... still needs more updates and organization, but that's in progress.
Oddly enough, I really like some of the new stuff - I'm excited about it and want to order some so I can get a few things up for sale at the Vets and any other outlet I can get them in at... there's still hope on one of the commercial building, store fronts, in the near future, so that's on agenda.

OK, need some zzz's and back at it again tomorrow - it's adrenylin time! I need to get the foster for life program up and running and to do that, all these things need to be in place. I'll get back up there yet!
Anyone who'd care to share an idea for a design and I make it up and it sells, there's a commission I'd be more than glad to pay - gotta diversify and get circulation happening again... I'm all ears to new ideas, a concept or whatever. I'd appreciate the input, so no harm in throwing ideas around, just message me.
