Funny how we grow to love our vehicules or in my case, the vehicules of others. You get so used to the comfort, security and accessability of the uses that a vehicule offers.... afterall, we depend on transportation -right? and when ya live in the middle of nowhere, a vehicule is a necessity.
My daughter, of whom I depend on greatly, picks me up to run errands, brings me 5 to 6 - 5 gallon jugs of water, does my friggin laundry for me at her house, picks up my wood so I can use it for heat - visits with my grandson, brings a smile and helping hand into my day, drove out on my request to speak to a guy about getting the car that was donated to the "society" and while in tow, the guy's truck over heated and the car was left on one of the back roads till arrangements could be made to get it here.
Long story short, she picks me up and we leave to go meet this guy when - clunk - bang and a jump, the toy started to make a funny squeeky noise and we slowed to practically nothing - something not cool happened to the passenger side wheel - it looks a little crooked -
luckily we weren't far from the house when we ever so slowly came back - stopping to let the wheel cool a bit. I personally think it was the ball joint that let go, it is afterall a toy (work and play vehicule) and is used frequently on back roads as seen by all the dust - it doesn't take long to look like this either!
There's an island I use to go to - to paint and they'd go swimming while I did my thing. The exhaust pipe is way up in the air, so when we'd go through water, it doesn't snuff out and stall - it's pretty cool. There's outside speakers from the radio so when we go through the bush, it helps scare off wildlife. But when in the city or around town, we try and keep the radio off so as to be polite to people... I don't think they'd appreciate our tunes.
So now the toy is sitting busted in front of my house and there's this view right behind it, that beckons and calls - but - the toy needs to be fixed. Yet another unexpected expense. Don't need anymore lessons on how to be prepared, when it ain't there to save, it just ain't there.
Our Treasurer and her hubby are down this weekend to visit, they are staying at my daughters. It's hard to get together to set up the new books because she lives in Calgary now and to get her out, can sometimes be difficult.
Her and hubby are having another baby, so that too makes things a little difficult, however, she came and we managed to finalize what we'll begin with and the agenda to start with.
All was agreed upon by the quarom, so we'll proceed with the new arrangements. And I was informed that Canadian Tire no longer permits the use of C.T. Money for purchases of gas, so where have I been? (i won't go there)
I do have a new page set up on the site, as there has been
6 donations of Canadian Tire Money, which gave us the idea for the Canadian Tire Campaign.
Until I can complete the html and finish the graphics for all our products, I started an msn group for use of their convenient albums and set up a catalogue to get things started. It's also a member's group for folks to join and add pics of their pets, so for the heck of it, browse on through, we've got some neat stuff and I recently found another company that prints designs on a variety of products like cafepress, only these guys have runners, cool bikini undergarments and stuff that cafepress doesn't and the prices are competative, so I can offer decent deals and still make the society a relevant commission. Everything adds up - or even to have a glance at the stuff we offer to see where we're coming from, take a look at
AASK-Services Catalogue of artwork, tshirts, Sweats, Clocks, Pillows, Jewellery boxes, stuff - all done in graphics we designed to earn income for the Society - 10 day delivery - money back guarenteed!! Hanes and other brand names - we have to start making some income to support the functions of the Society - I sure can't do it all.
'nd a couple of smiling faces, the little gal is our treasures daughter, this fragile little sweetie is a ballerina and once we get interest in our play, we have a role for her on opening night. It should be priceless - she's a proud dancer and takes her ballet very seriously! She's turning 5 yrs old. (2 front teeth are missing)
my grandson to the left, his rotty 10 month old pup, mya and mac, to the right.
