I agree. Why should the frugal countries suffer so the Greeks, Spanish, Portuguese, and Irish don't have to confront their problems? EDIT: And in my email this very second what pops up: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/ambroseevans_pritchard/9224551/Nightmare-week-for-Angela-Merkel-as-aus...

Here's an idea. When Norway stops being naive on crime and stops putting the dregs of their society into state run spa's, maybe we'll consider their stance on Climate Change. Until then they should STFU and let the rest of the world get on with their lives. Right. They just had a serious mass murde...

Charest. :? Don't really know. Have coceptual problems dealing with Quebec politics. 8) I got the impression that he was a Red Tory but in his Ottawa days. :D Agreed. But I don't know how you make the shift between that and Quebec politics. English media in Ontario barely cover the Quebec scene any...

Still two or three of the agenda clowns left. I think that what you call 'agenda clowns' seem to be part of general political discussion, at least on Forums. On both the left and right there are people who line politics up in terms of a particular set of issues ans convictions and refuse to move of...

Yep, Europe is in no position to lecture anyone. They have NEVER been in a position to lecture anyone else yet that never stops them from sneering at anyone who has the audacity to not consider the opinions of London, Paris, Brussels, and Bonn before doing anything. Norway seems to be a part of Eur...

You think Alberta PCs are centre-left??? And comparable to McGuinty and Charest??? What drugs are you on?? Really. I would say the Alberta PC's are Center-right probably the most right wing Provincial government in Canada. McGuinty - Centerist, only creeps left far enough to distinguish himself fro...

How do you get from, "Net Migration from Mexico Falls to Zero — and Perhaps Less" to, "...leaving in droves"? Fundamental lack of information it would seem. No one seems to know how many are coming, how many are in the US, or how many are leaving. This leaves lots of room for sp...

Put them in a hostel next time. Meals to be served in a cafeteria on the main floor. A clean comfortable bed, with a shitter and a shower in a secure location, is all they really need. Right. The five star hotel in the first place is a bit of an outrage let alone the improvements. Have to wonder as...

Kind of the ultimate irony that they basically fucked themselves by engaging in the same tactics that they regularly accuse the CBC of using. My own error with my faulty prediction was giving in to despair and assuming that they were going to be correct in their predictions. I'll try hard to not le...

I'm happier now than I expected to be earlier today. Just like every pollster and pundit who predicted a massive WRA victory I got proven wrong, and I'm glad for that. Alberta proved that it's a center-right province, not a right-wing one, and I'm happy that we showed that conservative doesn't have...

Ditch the kooks and the economic Randroids and by 2016 the WRA might actually be in a better position to win anyway. A beating like this will actually do them some good if they choose to learn from it. A cheerful response to a beating especially when polls from just three days ago were predicting a...

This is going to be a real landmark for the politician who says "The only poll that matters is at the ballot box."

Hardly neck and neck results.

Gunnair Gunnair:
Wow......looks like a pretty massive PC majority. Where the hell did that come from?

A lot of cold feet in AB?

Truly conservative people are very leery of any sort of change.

Such a complex planet we live on, with so much more out there to discover. I hope we never figure it all out. That will be a dull day indeed. I don't think there is anything to worry about there. I have read that, by mass, there is more life below the light line in the oceans than there is above it...

Hmmm. We will see. Checked out the 5 day forecast: rain maybe Mon. Low 1 - Snow possible Tue. but low 0. :?

Any how we had a very mild winter with almost no snow. 3 days in March highs 23 - 26 - 26.

In any case I will be able to pat myself on the back for not putting Winter stuff away. :D
