I agree with ridenrain. It is called free enterprise folks and if the government wanted more of a stake in a private firm they should have set some conditions or obligations upon them. Or better yet not handover the technology unconditionally like they apparently did. If not then the money might as ...

So write law requiring unmarried dads to pay child support. Why call effectively all unwed couples married to solve one aspect of the problem?

They already do. In Quebec it is based off of both parents income.

If you want the rights of marriage then get married. However I don't think people do primarily for that reason. Half of marriages end in divorce now so marrying someone is a liability. Perhaps you will luck out and be that one out of two people who live happily ever after. Or you can be the other pe...

Well, excuuuuuse me, but the official languages of Canada are French or English. You ought to speak at least ONE of them to get your visa in the skilled worker class, and you have to prove it. It was only done so to appeal to another minority who has never given up their language, the French. Despi...

Stelmach didn't win because the people really support him but because they do not like the other parties and they offer no alternative. After all a quarter voters were undecided right up until the election. Most people did not even bother voting. From the crying I heard from people that do not like ...

I would vote for the Wildrose Alliance only because I think they are the only party that states they feel the people can do a better job managing their finances than the government can. But they are not running a candidate in my riding so I might just throw a vote for the PC since they are the next ...

Dodge, Deny, Deflect, and Spin. The con D3S attack. Is that not what you basically do? All you ever post when it comes to politics is how atrocious the "cons" are. While you never say anything against your precious never-do-no-wrong grits. What exactly is your persuasion? Are you trying t...

If ya can't read road signs in English/French, then you shouldn't be driving. I can't read them in French yet I still drive. :P Besides if these people can't understand English or French they shouldn't be driving anyway, since our street signage is in the two official languages. Not Hindi, Punjabi,...

.and the scary thing is that I make more than most...how can those who make around minimum wage going to be able to save anything? Same reason why rich people cannot save anything. Bad habits and mismanaged spending. Perhaps you bought that new pair of shoes when you didn't have too or maybe you fe...

It is a decent budget and I like far more than last year's appeasement to everyone allocation. Debt repayment and tax cuts are what I like to see but too bad they didn't cut much spending. I guess some people would have a fit if they did that though. :) One new programme I really like in the budget ...

I disagree with most people here. I don't think the American economy is going into the shithole; I think it IS in the shithole and has probably been there for quite some time, only the gov't has been able to give the illusion of propserity through borrowing, spending, and manipulation of the curren...
