To imagine a world with no guns is to imagine a world in which the strong rule the weak, in which women are dominated by men, and in which minorities are easily abused or mass-murdered by majorities. Practically speaking, a firearm is the only weapon that allows a weaker person to defend himself fr...

Stockwell Day said that in 102 out of 108 homicides in 2006 were committed with illegal/unregistered guns. That means that statistically, over 94% of the time you are NOT dealing with someone who is going to care or be affected by a ban. As I've said previously in this thread when handguns are lega...

you're still contributing partly to gun crime. Why do you say that? read my original post, basically by having a system of private handgun ownership, you must have gun makers, gun reatilers, shooting ranges, guns stored in houses which inevitably means they will fall into criminal hands somewhere a...

I dont agree. I think that is not the 'real question'. If it was the 'real question' then we could apply your same reasoning to other examples. How about ATVs? ....The real question to all the ATV owners is are you willing to make the trade off that your hobby means that 1% of all wildfires will be...

well that incident was a fluke and doesn't happen everyday and it did happen in front of a strip club . but agree it was targic but it doesn't chnage my view that a ban would be pointless. and i think the people supporting the ban , need to ask themselves this - are they willing to give up freedoms...

Kimver Gil was legal and licenced as well. But like this dude was not licenced to carry or to commit murder. Not that long ago a guy was killed in the GTA with a brick.......... Being legal is like being pregnant----you either are or you are not---nobody is a just little bit. Ah yes, the "peop...

Here's a good reason why Toronto wants to ban all handguns... O'Keefe Shot Dead With Legal Handgun I don't really care whether some gun enthusiast keeps his handguns locked up and regsiters them with the cops, by the mere fact of allowing handguns in a society you will inevitably have some fall into...

Toronto is not my problem it is the problem of those who live in or around Toronto. So I don't care if the gangsters are home-grown. If they are Jamaican, Russian or Chinese immigrants. I don't care if they are black, white or yellow. And neither should those who live there since that has very litt...

The perfect issue for the Cons eh, an opportunity to bash Toronto, Immigration and the Legal system all in one thread. Sorry to burst your bubble but almost all of these gangsters are born and bred here, the days of Yardies causing most gun violence in Toronto are long gone they're either back in Ja...

The rules should be changed, I'd suggest that in order to receive automatic Citizenship you would need one of the parents to be a Canadian. That would seem fair to me

Or they could live in a perpetual victimhood state like the UK is where self-defence is illegal (still) and if you do defend yourself from a criminal and the criminal gets hurt the CRIMINAL has the right to have the government prosecute and sue you on his/her behalf. Sorry, but that is sheer insani...
