Is it any wonder that bullied kids bring weapons to school when the detestable faculty does nothing about bully behaviors that would be prosecutable felonies if done amongst adults? Maybe what needs to happen here beyond expulsion is mandatory counselling for these bullies, get to the root of the problem before this behavior may go beyond just bullying. Yes, and their parents too. Individual child counselling doesn't do much if you send the kid right back into the environment ...

For me a dream vacation would be a few weeks in a cabin in the mountains with my husband where there are no distractions, phone, comp, tv, people knocking on the door etc. Now that would be ideal.

All kids need protection from bullies, but that isn't going to happen until the punishments become more severe. A mere detention is in no way a fitting punishment, how about expulsion for these kids, then that gets the parents involved as the school isn't just a babysitter for junior at the end of t...

In short, I don't think it's any sillier than being a sports fan, comic book nerd, or WWII figurine painter, except that of course, Facebook has at least the virtue of fostering communication, community and the free exchange of ideas AS WELL as being a waste of time. Your way of staying in touch with family and friends is the way you prefer, doesn't make it a better option than Facebook. I have an account on FB with very few friends and family members. I like that I can keep in touch with family and friends all in one place, and that I can look at and share pics...

A case of what goes around comes around? Husbands have sat in front of TV's watching every sport known to man for decades, entire weekends have been consumed with sports and husbands could be heard the nation over saying "Not now...the game's on". And then along comes Facebook...payback's...
