Yeah...good luck getting Ontario to vote NDP for awhile - political memories can be long ones, especially the bad ones. I’m not sure when we started talking about provincial politics, but your first reply to my thread indicates that you are under the incorrect impression that people in Ontario are ... |

The quote refers to "provincial". The NDP remains both provincially and federally a third-rate party in Ontario. And last time i checked, 22 Ontario (and i'm betting there won't be an electoral breakthrough in the West coming) seats (which could be interpreted as a Jack bounce) won't get ... |

You are simply making an unsupported assumption when you say that Ontario "has a long political memory." Wrong. How have the provincial NDP done electorally, since Rae? The electorate assoiciate his tenure with political ineptitude and they've punished the party ever since. I'd say that t... |

More bluster. I gave you some actual facts about Rae and his performance. You give your prejudice and think you are scoring some points. I actually gave you some of the "salient" facts of Rae's Ontario leadership and you respond with your "I hate Rae." Running out of steam with ... |

You are blustering, Mustang. And you're projecting. Let me see some evidence of this vaunted prowess of yours in dealing with "noobies. Oh, it's hardly a boast or excessive, for that matter - but people like you make me shine. And it's not "noobies", it's hypocritical cheerleaders wh... |

First, Mustang, the NDP has not done well in Ontario since Rae because it repudiated Rae. Rae introduced fiscal conservatism to his "Socialism, anticipating Tony Blairin this. His own success was, in part, due to this and, in part, due to the scandals that were coming to light in the Peterson ... |

Keep it up, McGuyver. You seem to be getting under Conservative (not conservative) skins. They are trying to shout you down rather than dispute your points. And by arguing by generalization, you're the epitome of rational discourse? Please. I merely pointed out that the NDP hasn't made any signific... |

The good news is, as you can recognize on this thread, the Right had difficulty taking the Left seriously. And that is a huge advantage for the NDP. The NDP are never going to be able to match the millions in campaign dollars that the corporate donors and the rich give (tax deductable) to the Conse... |

I totally disagree. I think the socialist movement has just started. When everyday Canadians recognize that their lives are better off when the government is not a doormat for the rich and a feeding ground for the big corporations – more people will join and vote left. But of course it is up to the... |

Let's say that the German Army, for the same reasons as you claim (i.e. "finest hour", sacrifice, tradition, etc.)wanted to reinstate Nazi insignia purely for those nostalgic reasons, would the German public have a right to intervene in your opinion? You have no idea what you're jabbering... |

Excellent post! Thanks. ""It's not about the monarchy, it's about restoring that sense of pride, identity, that sense of belonging and recognizing the sacrifices people have made under that designation," insisted Julian Fantino, Canada's associate defence minister, at CFB Esquimalt on... |
