I don't know. If everybody else is donating more than oil rich nations from the middle east, I think that information is worth knowing. I'll bet you other news services start to mention it. Fox just got there first. Something which is not unusual. If it was untrue, you might have a point, but it loo...

EDIT: And FOX News lets me down again. I actually went to their website (which I can read, though I can't watch) and here is the lead story: CHEAP STATES: As Haiti slowly recovers from earthquake, nearly $400 million has been donated by foreign countries, while oil-rich nations like Saudi Arabia an...

If that's what FOX is saying, then I'd tend to agree. That's certainly better than what I would have expected from them. I would have expected an exposee on socialists in Europe are flying wounded children from Haiti in order to feast on their blood. See that's the problem. Many of the people...

They've been expecting a big aftershock since the first quake, so hopefully they were ready for it.

I saw one expert saying sometimes the aftershock is bigger than the quake.

Here's another possibility as to why the US had to take control rather than the UN at first. Some have been critical of the United Nations, which has had a significant presence in Haiti since 1994, for not playing a stronger role in organizing the rescue operations. But the peacekeeping mission suff...

Anyone who listens to Fox news shouldn't be bitching about Al Jazeera. Same shit, different pile. Networks watched by people who sdon't want to think, but to be told what to think. I watch it. Wanna know what they're saying, so you can make an informed decision. Basically this thread concerns the s...

Even the New York Times (or what far right journalist, Michelle Malkin calls "the fish-wrap of record") is not optimistic on the Democrats options as far as passing a healthcare reform bill goes, in the wake of Brown's victory. I'll pick the article up half-way in, where they're discussing...

There's a bunch of Democrats backing away from the massive big government takeover of healthcare this morning. Some good may come of this. A more sane rendition of reform could happen. I like this Democrat's proposal. http://www.breitbart.tv/dem-rep-break-up-health-care-bill-in-wake-of-ma-loss/ Rath...

I think maybe Djakeydd has his own little wing off somewhere. Always entertaining though.

And the big message here is that the liberals can kiss off health care. It's dead. Anyone in the House or Senate pushing this POS can be certain to kiss off their career come November. Actually Bart that's most likely true, but a healthcare bill is still not impossible. The Dems can still conceivab...

Well, if you're going to throw that away, I guess you'll have to throw away you're Medieval Warm Period and Little Ice age too, since their theoretical basis is based on various proxy measurements as well. No. I'm not talking about fuzzy science. I'm talking about flat out bad science. When you're ...

As far as the other one goes, yeah, that's one interpretation of the way Jim Hansen says it's supposed to look. More exactly here's the way he's got it at GISS for 2010. http://data.giss.nasa.gov/gistemp/graphs/Fig.A2.lrg.gif Forget what your eyes are telling you with tha...
