Actually, Martin cares deeply. He wants the CBC dead! Just like the Italian President has done everything he can to make the public broadcaster there as irrelevent as he can. After all, the public broadcaster has this annoying habit of broadcasting TRUTH once in a while, very annoying for facist gov...

Almost the entire American Airboat Association went out and bought supplies with their own money and raced to help out. FEMA turned them away. Hundreds of small boat owners were being brought to New Orleans by the New Orleans police department. This wasnt a disorganized bunch of yahoos looking to go...

One of the promises the NZ globalizers made was that their reliance on commodity exports (holy sheep!) would be eliminated. Instead, reliance grew as poverty grew and government revenues fell. Retreating from globalism has relived some of the stress but, they still need those commodity exports. This...

Another example of what happens when you "buck the system" is New Zealand. No country in the world went as far or as fast in regards to globalization and privatization. For 15 years they embraced the hardline glabalist approach, privatizing just about everything. The net result was a huge ...

We aren't a member of OPEC, we undercut them like mad. Ralphie collects roughly 1% in royalties for the oil and gas he sends to the US. Alaska collects about 15% royalties for what it sells to its OWN COUNTRY. We export 60% of our oil and gas production then import 70% of the refined versions we use...

Never had it so good? Which Canada are you living in? The poorer 50% of the population has lost 30% of the country's wealth, young workers make 25% less than they did in the 70s, unemployment is pegged to 7.5% instead of below 4% as it was in the 70s, Homelessness, almost unheard of in the 70s is no...

Since nafta the author claims GNP growth averaging 3.6%. How is this supposed to prop up his claim that NAFTA has been good for Canada, GNP growth prior to the "free" trade era was over 5%.

Black is white, up is down, slavery is freedom - that is the neocon message.

I love how people try to characterize monetary reform as "extremism" or "socialism". What CAP is proposing is simply returning to the systems we had under such communist extremists as Mackenzie King. Control and issue of legal tender is, and has always been, the responsibility an...

I love how, before the oil bonus, Alberta had no problem receiving wealth from other provinces. Now that they are doing well, they want it all to themselves. Of course, if they did share, Klein might have to raise royalties collected on oil going to the USa, maybe even as high as US States charge th...

You don't get it. US Courts and laws have no jurisdiction in Canada, period. If a court order to sieze that property is honored by Canada then Canada ceases to exist as a nation in all but name. We become American citizens, exposed to whatever laws americans choose to make. Just trying to get such a...
