Politics apart, what I think is that building a new pipeline across the Mountains would be harder than building a new pipeline on the flats of east Canada towards NB.

From what I have read, the pressure is not supposed to be higher. But, liquids doesn't pressurize like gazes. That's why we use hydraulics in ma...

With Energy East, mostly all I hear here in Quebec is that they should go to the western coast to get the oil out. Well, actually, it comes with the proper anti-Alberta/ROC and anti-oil rhetoric. But, how is it going for the western pipelines ? I've heard one was postponed by the NEB and the other w...

Fraser Institute is not credible, and as discussed in numerous threads, neither is 90s era debt fear-mongering. Tell that to us, Quebecers, with the government having to cut in all services to control the debt for not having our debt rating downgraded and pay more billions than the 11-12 billions w...

Fraser Institute also has a great .pdf that compares Ontarios debt to Californias. It is a great read and illustrates just how much Ontario has destroyed Canada, and we haven't even reached the bottom yet, far from it. Selling assets doesn't make you a great business manager. https://www.fraserinst...

The problem here is that people who wants to increase drastically (or not) the minimum wage only see the stereotype of the flipping burger guy working for an evil multinational company (read, McDonald's). The truth is that most people earning the minimum wage or just above it are working for small a...

My understanding of NATO is that if a nation is attacked, every members were attacked and are at war. France joined back NATO in 2009 and Belgium is there since the treaty in 1949.

The terrorists shot at us for 10 to 15 minutes. It was a bloodbath." Julien Pearce didn't hear the attackers speak, but he said one friend who escaped heard them talk about Iraq and Syria. Later, he said the men were speaking French. It would be easier for a local group to coordinate this kind...

At my job, there are a lot of French people. They were all on their cell phones and watching the lounge TV screen. One of them heard about one of his friend who was in the theater but succeeded to get away... :|
