don't see it as government control. I think it's important for the youth to know how to balance a cheque book and credit card. I didn't get a credit card till I was around 24 and never had a problem paying them off monthly. Straight out of high school I'm not sure kids have the wherewithal to handl...

Personally I find it hard as all hell to keep up any kind of social life while working nights because everyone else works days. That's just why I avoid it personally. It does play havoc with a social life, indeed. If I get together with friends I can never have a drink and I leave by 10. But I'm ol...

Lesson one: Avoid any business that uses a LOT of 3rd world importing like the plauge. :P Seriously if there's anything that worries me about the next generation it's that we spend a good 90% of our cash at Wal-Marts and fast food joints creating a ton of minimum wage jobs and nothing more. It's go...

Let's face it... the cirriculum is designed by the Ontario gov't. The gov't has shown a horrific amount of disrespect for our tax dollars and an inability to spend with any kind of semblence .

And now we will hand them the "duty" of teaching our CHILDREN how to spend wisely?

well, for one, it doesnt seem like parents are all the financially literate themselves. Household savings are at an all-time historic low and household debt is at an all time historic high; thats a trend thats been developing for 25 years already. A year of teachers college sure as shit doesn't mak...

The list of things we want our schools to teach our kids grows longer and longer: birth control, sex education, morals and ethics , physical fitness, and now financial smarts... all while we remove more and more disciplinary control from the schools hands . What's a parental responsibility anymore? ...
