Individualist, what we are seeing is simply socialism for the rich, and capitalism for everyone else. If socialism is so terrible then why is it OK when it's to fix the mistakes made by the banks and Wall Street? It's just corporate welfare, and it shoots the argument that government interference is... |

Those of you who posted here advocating "anyone but Harper" seemed to miss the point of my original article on the Liberals and Conservatives, and that was that regardless of which party was the ruling party, they signed agreements that created NAFTA and NAFTA plus (deep integration). So while it mi... |

I'm a lot more worried about the real agreements between our nation's leaders including the SPP and the pending EU agreement than I am about water vapor and ice crystals, or the internet hoaxes that try to spread paranoia about them. Sorry, Milton. |

If StatsCan had been willing to do something more than shift some jobs around and launch into full spin mode when we boycotted the census test, which is NOT mandatory, then we wouldn't even be forced to make the choice. AND if StatsCan had developed the capability to do the software for the census I... |

I'n really sorry to hear about this, although I'm not surprised. Seems like a clear contravention of rights if they arrested someone for filming from a public sidewalk. I hope as many people as possible call! |

Not like I need to justify my actions, but I locked a thread where everyone was fighting and any discussion of the actual issue went out the window. No one was banned, and you can still read the thread, with some minor edits. The only major deletion of an entire post on that thread was actually the ... |

OK, so this thread has gone off the deep end. Lots of violations here, whether it's personal attacks or calling on 3rd world people to be exterminated or posting anti-semitic material/posting links to more anti-semitic sites. To be clear, we don't generally consider any criticism of Israel automatic... |

Yeah, somehow I doubt Martin loses sleep at night, but it's a nice thought that he would be ashamed of his role. Maybe not reality. Our leaders and former leaders seem to have no shame when it comes to the SPP. |

Let's take this slowly from the top. My point, if you'll remember, was that what we call "free trade" doesn't prevent protectionism, particularly protectionist measures (such as anti-dumping tariffs) by the U.S. The intent of free trade agreements was supposedly to prevent protectionism, y... |
