As someone who looked after elderly parents I wonder these days if our seniors are being given a raw deal. People who have retired and worked all of their lives, plus raised families, deserve the province's respect and courtesy. From the government in the form of increased benefits, reduced utility costs and so on. We need to lobby our provincial government to ensure that seniors are able to stay in their own homes as long as possible where they will feel much more comfortable. For those who are in care, through being unable to look after themselves due to having alzheimers etc., they should be provided with the best facilities and care, not 300 square foot bedrooms with a small kitchen and toilet. Anyway your parents will one day face these difficult times, as will you. What are your views on how our seniors are treated today?
