The film "Amal", listed on Canada's Top Ten Films of 2007 list, is having its official opening in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg and Halifax this Friday, August the 15th!

I saw it at TIFF, and again last week when it opened in Toronto, and I really loved this film! The acting may not be the BEST, but the story is amazing, and the main character, Amal, is a beautifully written character. I really recommend seeing this if you dont already have plans, its a truely enjoyable film.

I saw this last year at TIFF, I thought I was the only one that was really impressed with it.

yes i did, but in two different locations, both of which have the same opening date. i guess thats not allowed.

word. its fine. but you should see the movie, cause it really is good, despite some of the shabby acting.
