Which city's downtown is better? I live in Edmonton but have been to Calgary numerous times and have the view that Calgary's downtown is far more lets say cosmopolitan than Edmonton. Your thoughts?

Calgary is centralized, more people work in the core which is also a problem for transportation. Is it more cosmopolitan? I don't think so it's still fairly quiet on weekends and evenings.

As a non-Albertan, I have to say that "cosmopolitan" isn't exactly the word that comes to mind when thinking about either city.

cowboy hats in Calgary are only worn by all the people visiting from the neighboring hicktowns and the tourists from Tronta during the Stampede.
