Life on the pipeline.

Mainline crew show's up today,

We did 200 meters in 6 hours, the inspector told me at the end of the day that I reminded him of someone, after I listed off all the companies I worked for the last 4 years he mentioned one who I worked for and it's his best friend.

Pic's coming.

We dont have 2 way radio's here,we use Hutterites. We have a couple young lad's hired on from the colony and they like to run. This is minimal disturbance so you have to walk to where the pipe is geeting laid.
They will run a mile down the right of way with a message full tilt.
then at dinner will order a 12 inch pizza, huge steak with shrimp and 2 cheeseburgers with fries and gravy and eat the whole works.
I dont think Ive seen harder workers in my life.
They broke away from the colony a few years ago to go pipelining.
We stopped mainlining at 3:00 today and got 400 meters. The competition going the other way took 2 days to get that.(boulder construction) Not bad for a 3 meter ditch on a 45 degree slope.
That makes for a huge spill pile.

Hutterites are a communal branch of Anabaptists who, like the Amish and Mennonites, trace their roots to the Radical Reformation of the 16th century. Since the death of their founder Jakob Hutter in 1536, the beliefs of the Hutterites, especially living in a community of goods and absolute pacifism, has resulted in hundreds of years of odyssey through many countries. Nearly extinct by the 18th and 19th century, the Hutterites found a new home in North America. Over 125 years their population grew from 400 to around 50,000. The Hutterite community has one of the highest fertility rates.[1]

Yep. I have two warning signs. A regular mild migraine give me a small blue dot in the center of my left eye's field of vision. A bad one that feels like someone hit me with a 25-pound hammer between the eyes gives me the shimmering aura in the left eye.

Mine is mostly weather related. A combination of humidity and air pressure changes. I get one 2 days before a front moves through and another one about 6 or 8 hours before it does. The humidity is definitely a factor as I do not get as many of them when I am in Saskatchewan. South Carolina has horrible humidity (usually, here lately it's been dryer.)
