My advice is don't apply for anything that you have to use your spelling skills.:)

Hi Bill, I'd recommend moving to northern AB;

I moved to Grande Prairie Alberta after all 36 years of my life in BC
just last year.

Went from laborer to driver to general manager to minority shareholder
in 12 short months.

Alberta RoCkS!

My accountant is from back east, he just took on our corporate account and
we helped him move his whole family here.

In Alberta talent, perseverance, and roll-up-the-shirtsleeves hard work
still trump seniority, who-you-know, and brown-nosing.

If you are looking to punch a clock and be as lazy as you can get away with
don't move here though.

having no people skills didn't seem to stop you from going into nursing.

You might want to narrow your option down and decide where you might want to live, and what kind of work envirement you want to have.

You can make really good money, living in camp at fort macmurray. But, its not uncommon for people to make good money and spend every last penny.

So maybe you'd be happier in Edmonton,Grand Prairie,Red Deer? or some other place working in a shop that services the oil patch. The pay is good, but it wont be as good as the oil patch. yet, you might be better off if quality of life is important to you.

If you choose to go after the big money, you might want to have a plan to get specific experience, or a trade. That way you won't have to live in the oil patch forever.

Sorry Bill but I just saw your pm to me asking for info a month or so ago.I'll get some links back to you but they will be mostly for the calgary sun classifieds or the human resources job bank which has a search tool that will have you busy writing down phone numbers all day.For search words try equipment operator, pipeline,or drilling.
Then pick a province.

Which means I'll be watching the watchman!

And I just answered Alan Moore's brilliant tagline too! The answer: ME!
