Cool pic. Was in Dartmouth the year they had all the forest fires in Quebec and one day comming home for lunch the sky was purple, it was awsome, unfortunately I didn't have a camera then.

I was in Somerset (south Calgary beside highway 22X) when they had all of the fires in B.C. in 2003(?) and the entire sky was a haze. Ash was often seen falling from the sky. I don't recall any nice colours but a lot of doom and gloomy looking skies for sure.

Cool pic Trit. Do any of you remember when Mt. St. Helens erupted in 1980? The ash even reached Edmonton.
