Hope this thread doesn't exist.

I thought I'd start one where we could post old photos that CKA members have.
The only rules is that you took the photo or that a member of your family took and that it was taken at least 20 years ago.
Please give the date or year it was taken and a short text, if you want.

I'll start it off.

1955
Taken in Halifax harbour, I think it was on Canada Day.
I had to take a photo of the photo, since I don't have a scanner.

In the left foreground is my mother, father and me.
In the background is the HMCS Algonquin (R17) (I), a V class destroyer active from 1944 to 1970.

My daughter gave me 7 numbered prints of the promos from the original Star Trek series for Father's Day. Put them all in frames and hung them in the storefront, we get comments every day.
I have no idea what they're worth, neither does she.

My grandfather served on the RMS Mauretania as a purser during the First World War. My brother has his pocket knife from that time - it's covered in mother-of-pearl and inliad in silver with the name 'Mauretania'.

No, he didn't take this picture, but it's worth including to remember the ship and the the men who served on her.
