It was a rainy day and I put on the polarizer too. Rainy days are great for statues like this as the sun creates over exposure in spots and you lose a lot of the shadows.

I'm a big believer in clouds! I don't usually shoot that much with a clear blue sky, too boring.

Began in Stone age with a Speed Graphic 4 by 5 an first Nikon F. Both were and still are great machines.
Guys in news trade called em hammers, not cameras. They were tools to get the job done.
The art was in being where you needed to be and not where the police thought you should be.
The lost art I miss most is the darkroom. Chemical smells and the solitude. A persons
own private world where art and emotion were created.

New cameras are great. And not sitting in the cold and rain at football games and
trying to get best shot at a death scene are even missed now and then.
But, the next shot is the thing.
Good to see the art is alive and growing.
