That's awful. I feel for all those people who are left waiting, watching and uncertain if they'll have a home or not..

Thanks PCC. My brothers house is inline to be the next to go. No rain until Tuesday , winds are still high. I'm just waiting for the next RCMP update.

Awwww geez, hun.. I'm so sorry.

I remember what it was like here, two years ago, when the town 60 miles from us was evacuated. I've never seen such lost souls in my life. It's absolutely devastating. My heart was just aching for them.

The latest RCMP update is they can't get close enough to know what has been lost. I can't get my brother on his cell and they are calling for volunteers to fight the fire. Knowing him he has his ass in the middle of this now

I finally got a hold of him. They aren't being updated anymore than what they can catch on the news. Unfortunately they were away at the time the fire started so if they lose the house they lose everything. My brother isn't too concerned about the house itself but the things that can't be replaced. He has all of my grandfathers sea papers etc. He's been doing a family history for the last 5 years. All of those things can't be replaced. He won't tell me where his dogs are so I'm assuming they are still in the house or their kennel.

My heart is broken here. From what I'm hearing the area of woods where my Dad taught me everything I know about the woods, where we fished together, snared rabbits, I shot my first gun are gone. Some of my best memories in life were in that area.
