The Vancouver Sun website has a section on their website dedicated to the celebration of Vancouver's 125th birthday.

One of the features I was looking at today is really interesting in comparing 1891 to 2006 as far as population, immigration, occupations, religions and marital status. Take a look: http://www.vancouversun.com/news/vancouverthenandnow.html

If you are interested in the rest of the site (many articles, photographs, etc)go to:

Thanks Strutz.

If anyone likes these articles may I suggest they read a historical novel called Vancouver by co authors Cruise and Griffiths. It went into the history in depth, starting 16000 years ago, right up to the Vancouver stock exchange hey days and had all the major players in the cities history.

Quite a read.
