DVDs? Doesn't everyone just use Netflix, or Apple TV or Shaw on Demand or whatever, at this point?

Doesn't Netflix hog up bandwidth?

I don't. I had planned on trying it out, but after I looked at the lacklustre selection Netflix Canada has, I changed my mind.

Yeah it's like watch 15 year old re-runs.

You should try some of the stuff they made themselves. Pretty decent.

I find lots of new things I really like that I've never seen before. "Centurion", Craig Ferguson, and Louis CK come to mind.

That said, there is also a lot of stuff I would like to see that I can't get on any of Zip's methods. And we no longer have a movie rental place in this town.

Use something like Hotspot Shield to disguise your IP.

You can access the American catalog then.

There is a reason why I put the popcorn in the microwave, check my e-mail, and get a drink while the trailers play :P

I hate how certain "tracks" on a DVD or Blu Ray lock out user input so you can't skip past the commercials/ads/legal warnings. Why should I be forced to go through that all that useless crap just to watch a movie? :?

Makes me miss the days of VHS.

Bull shit.

Ain't buying it for a second even if all of those problems went away. Theives still would be stealing art. Because their cheap bastards, free is the best price. Nice try though. Piracy also is now part of the reason when I buy almost any single player game I have to log onto a server (DRM) in order to play. A . Single. Player. Game. Servers down, can't play Fallout.

I take it people that enjoy all of this stolen stuff think they are sticking it to the man, or a these artists are rich anyways so fuck them. Artist poor and rich deserve every cent from the product they've created that you want to enjoy. So buy it, don't steal it. Keep it up, and in a couple of decades art is going to pretty boring.

You can't play Fallout when the "servers down"? I actually own those games (for X-Box) but pirated them for my computer. I don't understand what you mean.

If you're telling me you can't play fucking New Vegas without an internet connection because you legally bought it, I see a huge benefit in my pirated copy.

Netflix is okay for a while but we don't have the same selection as in the U.S.

I did enjoy House of Cards, both U.S. and BBC versions.
