Remember when they had slivers of wax in them?
And Mom tried to sneak powdered milk in when the carton was 1/2 full thinking we couldn't tell?
I keep seeing these Canadiana posts about milk in bags. They sure were short lived in BC, haven't seen them since the lae 1980s.

Yea, Alberta had it's 6 month trial with bagged milk too.

And the wax wasn't bad. Rare, and had no taste.

I don't buy a lot of milk (maybe a pint every 2 weeks) but when I do, I buy the good stuff... and no fighting trying to get it open, it has a spout.

I also buy organic, non-homogonized cream for my tea. Comes in a cardboard box. ;)

It's just been harder to get the damn spout open lately.

DrCaleb DrCaleb:
Is it just me, or are cardboard milk containers impossible to open now?

Yes! I've noticed that as well with the odd carton that I've had to open the other side after the side you're supposed to open doesn't. Weird.

I slide a knife to separate the two layers.

Its like they are using the wrong glue, which is why I put the question here. I think they can't get the right glue.

A single EV battery caught fire. 3000 cars and the ship are a write off.

Big global brands drove supplier prices higher in second quarter: Loblaw

$1:
On Wednesday, Loblaw reported a profit available to common shareholders of $508 million for its second quarter ended June 17, an increase of 31.3 per cent from the same period last year.

Oh, I am so relived that they made good bank.

Whew! A 31% raise! So glad those poor shareholders won't have to scrimp and save coupons to survive.

F*cking disgusting but that's what we get.

But surely it's the:
Federal Government
Covid assistance
people wanting to be paid appropriately for their work
them damn unions
millenials
