Well except they all move to Alberta at some point. But I still would rather live in Alberta than Ontario - I don't get the east at all. I considered moving to Calgary, mostly for the sunshine (Same with Denver and Phoenix), but in the end I guess Vancouver is just in my DNA.

How is that a problem? Sheesh you Albertans are thin skinned. (I admit, I don't know if you even are one). I don't know dick all about either Texas or Alberta except what I see in the media. But when people put out stereotypes about BC, I laugh along with them. Stereotypes usually have some basis in truth, but either way you've got to be able to laugh at yourself. Alberta has so much going for it, yet in the media all I hear is the whining and bitching or bragging coming from it. Or Albertans saying if they had to vote to join Canada now, they would vote no. Just goes to show, money doesn't seem to buy happiness.

Alberta is like the nouveau riche family that just moved in down the block. Bragging about their money, but insecure about it. Hasn't developed much of a sense of social responsibility yet either. But, give em time.
