How much would you charge to fix the submission issues with Vive Le Canada? Whatever it is, I should be good for it.

Your best bet here is to send an e mail to Trev outlining the problems....

Problems posting to your news page.

They keep finding new ways to block your software.

The way it looks right now is there's something with most sites that have HTTPS URLs that will blank out the whole news page here.

CBC still works, but that's about it.

CTV was interesting. A short while ago they blocked it so that if you didn't allow scripts the page wouldn't switch over in a way you could read until you allowed them. Now it just blocks the whole page regardless.

Unless it's just me.

I noticed this the other day when I posted 2 articles from CTV's site to the home page. After I uploaded them and tried to open them (I typically do this to make sure it works) I saw they were not opening. What I noticed about the address line is that there was an extra "https" in the link address so I edited my upload link to eliminate one of them and presto! the page opened.

edit - ok I just looked at the link I edited on the ones I did and compared them to your recent uploads. Click on the "comment" button beside your article on the homepage and then click on edit. Go to the address line and delete the "https://" then click the edit link button. Should work after that. I just tried this out on the article about the drone thing I submitted and it didn't work until after I edited the address.

Thanks, Strutz. That seems to work for me if it's CTV. Not so much for the others.

That's a bug that's been pointed out years ago. CKA automatically appends "http://" to a URL if that isn't included in the URL. Because most sites now are "https://" it gets confused and appends the "http:" anyhow, to form "http://https://".

All you have to do is click on the 'comment' button on a story once it's posted, then click 'Edit' and remove the 'http://', leaving the 'https://'.

Doesn't seem to work anymore on the sites that blank out the whole page so you can't even comment on the unsuccessful page.

Works with CTV though.

Hang on. I'll find one for you.

This one isn't exactly what I'm talking about, but with this one it doesn't seem to matter what you do on the CKA home page comments link, or whether you allow or disallow scripts, it's going to take you off-site and directly to the Daily Telegraph website.

The title is "Former prostitutes to sue the Government as criminal records stop them volunteering with Brownie groups." It's on the news page now.

Can anybody comment or even link to it from CKA? I can't.

I can bring up the story but no comment section, Trev fixed things so the story can be opened but the comment ability have been lost.
