I got the pop up but it was on a youtube site linked from here. Completely covered the screen yet you could see through it.

ok I will find a way to remove that particular ad, thats weird.
and Indelible, do you seriously run your computer at 800x600 resoultion!!!!? May the gods have mercy on your sole. you must do a lot of horizontal scrolling.

heh, this is true, thats why i never knew about the problem, I never see ads on the site.
I removed that ad from the ad-network rotation and I have removed the ad from the viewtopic pages for now.
don't hesitate to bring up any problems any time, or complaints.

hahahahahaha yeah.....i do do a lot of scrolling......it's not my puter so i don't change it.....my puter works fine but i have to drag it into this room and unhook and rehook everything just so i can go on hte net with it....so i don't bother, i just use this one....like i said, all i know is VERY BASIC computer stuff, so can you tell me how to change that????

Wow...
Rightclick on the desktop, select Properties, go over to the Settings tab, and choose a higher Screen Resolution. Same this to change it back... they'll probably thank you for it, though, unless their monitor is 10 years old.

no monitor isn't that old....and i just got the ad again in the forum index before i came here to this thread.....

Go into "my computer" - "control panel" then "display"
A pop up will come up..... click on the "settings" tabs - there will be a little slider that says "Screen area" - you can adjust it there then put it back after youre done!

ahhhhhhhhhhh no more horizontal scrolling!!!! so nice......good thing my eyes are good cuz the text is really small now!
