This question is mostly to those members who are active in submitting news links to CKA, should I make the "is Canadian" option checked by default? Seems more items are flagged with it then not, so will save a tiny bit of time possibly.

That's something I've wanted to bring up for a while now, Misc Canadian should be the default setting.

It may be a necro but, since I am the major contributer to the CKA news I still think Misc. Canadian should be the default setting for news submissions.

I would agree, but for the different reason that then when people forget to change category, it's probably more appropriate than "Business," the current default for alphabetical reasons.

I would agree to changing the default as well. Also, I would recommend changing the misc. Canadian and misc. World categories to jsut plain Canadian and World.
