Ok, I got a little question. I browsed through this thread a page or so back but didn't see anybody mention it, but here's my problem.

Currently using Windows XP, with Internet Explorer 8. I have no ability to install Firefox or other on this system, so I am limited with this browser. My monitor's resolution is currently set to 1440x900.

Now what's happening is when I post a quick reply in the window in the bottom here, everything seems fine, but when I hit the main Reply/Post button and get the detailed posting section, everytime I get to the bottom of the text box and the scroll shows up, the text box bounces all over the place and the bottom line or two that I am typing in keeps disapearing and only popping up when I type, then flicks back out of view as the scroll seems to automatically jump up. This is very annoying, difficult and time consuming to keep manually pulling the scroll bar down to see what I typed, only for it to bounce back out of view when I let go.

What's up wit dat?? :?

Thanks... I'm now here on my system at home, Windows Vista, Internet Explorer 8 again, and it's doing the same thing here.

If that helps narrow things down any.

I'll have to dig around and find that to see if it helps. I've also noticed typing the the text box seems laggy, like it takes a split second to show the character after I type.

I have Firefox here so I'll see if the same thing occurs in that.

....... Yeah, everything seems perfectly fine in Firefox. The scroll doesn't jump around and the text isn't lagging behind my typing.... it must be something with IExplorer.

Which doesn't suprise me, since I have had other issues with different things on other sites with Explorer over the years.

Yeah I just found that compatibility mode button in IE8 (right of the URL box and looks like a seperated page.)

Everything seems ok now.

Odd.

Now do I have to do that everytime on each page I open seperately or just once and it remembers for the site? :?

(Stupid Microsoft.... reminds me of my landlord.... half-asses everything)

I have a suggestion Trevor.

Include more threads in the forum section under recent topics, instead of 10 threads being displayed bump it up to 20 from 10.

The current affairs news junkie in me wouldn't mind a little speed reading.

that is what the "Recent Posts since last visit"
newposts.html
Or "Recent Topics Scroll" are for.
scroll

clicking the "next" link on the recent topics directs you to the "Recent Topics Scroll" page already.
