The Cuban government apparently is getting a might bit upset that
the operating system Windows may by corrupting their sense of values
and have banned its use on the island, they are working on their a new OS call Neuvo ( or some such spelling).

I have a tendency to agree for different a reason, Vista has given
a lot people heartburn so at times I consider when I upgrade to go Apple.

Based on what reasoning?

Lots of places are moving to open source software, and doe a country under heavy trade embargo, this makes sense.

well what do you expect from a nation that has been bullied since the late 50's by the worlds most powerful nation? this is what almost 60 years of embargo gets you. Perhaps its time for the United States to end this childish embargo.
edit
I didn't think Windows ran on Commodore 64.

The USA never prohibited Cuba from trading with anyone else.

We just won't trade with them until they settle accounts for the industries and private property they seized without compensation from Americans and American businesses.

They've had fifty years to settle these accounts the same as any other nation does that makes such seizures. Why don't you ask them why they insist on acting like thieves when they could easily open negotiations and obtain a settlement to restore trade?

the same could be said to American corporations that took land from Cubans, why should Cuba have to pay back companies that stole from Cuba first? Batista was corrupt and in the mobs packet, Delmonte had taken thousands of acres of land from honest hard working Cubans sending them right to the poor house. the real reason why there is the embargo is because Cuba is Communist and you don't want a Communist state 80 miles from Flordia. Thats why the US tried the Bay of Pigs, and thats why the states wants to strangle Cuba with the Embargo. I love the fact Castro has lasted longer than 8 US presidents, and hes still alive, although Raul runs things now.

That's a good enough reason.
And like Bart said, they can trade with the whole world if they want.
